Wolves player is now estimated to be worth over £25m amid possible interest

Wolves defender Max Kilman has seen his potential transfer value reach around an impressive £25m in a season featuring a number of impressive Premier League displays. 

As things stand, Bruno Lage’s men remain surprise contenders for a Champions League place, as they sit in seventh place, just six points off Manchester United in fourth – having played two fewer games than the Red Devils.

Wolves have only scored 21 league goals this season, which is the third-lowest total in the division, but their defensive solidity has allowed them to rise up the table as they have conceded just 17 goals. Only Manchester City have let in fewer.

At the very heart of that brilliant backline is Kilman, who has played every minute of the club’s league campaign up to this point at centre-back.

The 24-year-old joined Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves team from Maidenhead United on a free transfer back in 2018. Since then, it’s safe to say he’s come a long way.

His growth is clearly reflected by his current financial value. According to the CIES Football Observatory – which uses scientific research to determine the transfer worth of footballers – Kilman is now rated between €20-€30m (as much as £25.1m).

Taking his recent form into account, it seems more than likely that the young English defender will be a target for rival clubs in the near future.

Indeed, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Kilman will certainly be in high demand soon enough. He told recently GiveMeSport: “Left-sided centre-halves are always in demand, so I’m sure some of the bigger boys are looking at Kilman as a potential signing in the summer.”
