Wolves final fixtures compared to West Ham, Man Utd, Arsenal & Tottenham after major boost

Wolverhampton Wanderers enjoyed a week off from Premier League duty this weekend after their game against Manchester City was postponed - and several of the other European contenders slipped up in their absence.

Injury-hit Wolves fell to a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United last time out, but their European rivals Manchester United, West Ham and Arsenal all fell to defeats too. And West Ham and Arsenal slipped up again this weekend to give Wolves further incentive when they return to action at Burnley this weekend.

Fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur have been in rampant form of late, but Antonio Conte's men lost 1-0 on home soil to Brighton on Saturday. Arsenal could do no better, losing 1-0 at Southampton, leaving Manchester United to take advantage with a narrow 3-2 win over relegation favourites Norwich City courtesy of a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick.

West Ham dropped two points by drawing 1-1 at home to Burnley on Sunday, meaning Wolves enjoyed a good weekend without kicking a ball. Here is how the land lies as we enter the final run-in...

Wolves can't afford any more slip ups after the defeat to Newcastle. Of the six teams Wolves still have left to face, only top two Liverpool and Manchester City have inflicted narrow defeats on them.

Maximum points will be needed from Burnley, Brighton and Norwich, while Wolves will probably need something from their trip to Stamford Bridge on May 7 too. If they are still in the race by the time they face Liverpool and Manchester City, which needs to be rearranged, points will be required against the top two.
