Wolves: 22 y/o could 'follow in Diogo Jota's footsteps' at Molineux

Wolverhampton Wanderers starlet Chiquinho has set his sights on ‘following in the footsteps’ of Daniel Podence and Diogo Jota by breaking into the Portugal international side thanks to his form at Molineux, according to journalist Josh Holland.

Chiquinho made the move to the West Midlands after Wolves agreed to pay an initial fee of £3million to prise him away from Portuguese side Estoril during the January transfer window.

Tim Spiers, The Athletic’s Wolves correspondent, has already been impressed by Chiquinho and compared the Portuguese to Adama Traore while claiming he is a ‘ridiculous talent’.

Although Chiquinho is far from being a first-team regular with his current employers, he has plenty of time to catch the eye of Lage as his contract is due to run until the summer of 2026.
