Wolfaardt, Griffioen claim Cross Triathlon success at Steyn City
Shaun Wolfaardt and Nicolette Griffioen were crowned champions in the sold-out second annual Auto & General Cross Triathlon hosted at Steyn City this past weekend.
The event proved to be a stunning success as the event gathered massive interest from a community eager for more opportunities to test their skills.
This year's entrants included numerous celebrities, including national triathlete Hannan Newman, Carte Blanche presenter Macfarlane Moleli and Jacaranda FM co-host Rozanne McKenzie.
Moleli took part to honour a friend who was tragically killed in a cycling accident last year and to raise awareness for the 'A promise to Andre' campaign.

Wolfaardt won with a time of 01:53.06 to win the men's title, while Griffioen took the women's title in 02:11:08.

Steven Louw, CEO of Steyn City Properties, says that it was an honour to host the triathlon for the second consecutive year.
