Wink-wink, nudge-nudge: Downs do fair, not favours, says Mokwena to Al-Ahly's Champions League hint

Al Ahly are on the ropes after they were demolished 5-2 by Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

The Egyptian giants, who are on the cusp of exiting a tournament they have won a record 10 times, now have to win their remaining two matches.

Additionally, the Red Devils also have to hope results in the other Group B fixtures go their way.

The victory catapulted the Brazilians to 10 points and back to the summit of Group B ahead of Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal (9 points). By comparison, Al Ahly (4 points) and the Cameroon's Coton Sport (0 points) remain stagnant in third and fourth place, respectively.

This weekend, Al Ahly are away to Coton Sport on Friday, while Sundowns travel to Saudi Arabia to meet Al Hilal on Saturday. After the mandatory international FIFA break, Al Ahly host Al Hilal with Coton Sport coming to South Africa.

Sundowns only need a point to advance to the next round.

Responding to Koller, Downs coach Rhulani Mokwena says the Brazilians don’t do favours and are always in the hunt to win football matches, whether required to or not.

"We are honest, believe me, we are honest, we will do
