Willie Miller raises Rangers vulnerability as he tells Aberdeen there's NOTHING to fear against rivals

Williee Miller says Aberdeen will be hunting revenge against Rangers this weekend - and they are facing the Light Blues at a good time.

Michael Beale's side head into the Pittodrie clash 12 points behind Celtic at the top of the league and chances of them lifting the Premiership title are now slim. But for the Dons, they have undergone a revival under Barry Robson and are five points clear in third after recovering from a rot that was fully kicked into motion last time Rangers visited.

Leading in stoppage-time, Aberdeen conceded twice to lose 3-2 and it was a major turning point that eventually resulted in Jim Goodwin's sacking. But writing in the Press and Journal, Miller insists his former club are now in a better position to seek redemption in their hunt for European football, as a leaky away defence that has conceded at least twice in three of its last four league matches is there to be got at: "Aberdeen have absolutely nothing to fear going into the game against Rangers at Pittodrie on Sunday. Rangers can blow hot and cold at times and have had issues defensively recently. Manager Barry Robson will certainly not be blasé ahead of the game against Rangers.

"However, the Dons will be thinking that this is the right time to get the Ibrox club. It is a home fixture and the last game before the Premiership split.

"In-form Aberdeen also face Rangers on the back of six straight wins. The Dons will be looking for some revenge after the last game against Rangers at Pittodrie somehow ended in defeat.

"Aberdeen were on course for a victory when leading 2-1 in injury time – only to concede two late goals to lose 3-2. Rangers grasped victory from what was looking like a defeat.
