Wild card Lee and 4Aces go top of LIV Golf Indianapolis leaderboard on Day 2
WESTFIELD: 4Aces GC seized control of the team championship race after the second round of LIV Golf Indianapolis 2026, moving to 31-under through the first two days and taking a five-shot lead over Torque GC. Meanwhile, wild card Richard T. Lee moved into the individual lead at The Club at Chatham Hills.
Thomas Detry and Dustin Johnson posted matching totals of 10-under at the halfway stage to lead the way for 4Aces, with Detry backing up his Round 1 66 with a 6-under 64 and Johnson following his 64 with a 4-under 66. Thomas Pieters added a 5-under 65 to move to 9-under for the tournament, giving the team three players inside the individual top five.
Detry and Pieters, who have played alongside each other since their junior golf days, were grouped together for the second round and were able to build some momentum while playing in the same group.
“We generally feed off each other,” Detry said. “I felt like he was pretty much ahead the whole day, so I was sort of catching up on him and was just trying to make birdies.”
Johnson has been one of the most efficient ball-strikers in the field through two rounds, ranking first in the field in Strokes Gained: Approach (+4.49) and fifth in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee (+1.76). He’s chasing what would be a fourth LIV Golf win in the US, the most of any player in the League.
Torque GC sit second in the team championship at 26-under, powered by Abraham Ancer’s 5-under 65. Ancer strung together birdies on holes 11 through 16 before a double bogey, and he now sits two back of the individual lead.
“Everything I do out on the golf course, I try just to stay in the moment, try to just focus on the shot that I have in front of me,” Ancer said. “It’s Friday; we’re just halfway there.
