Why your AI boyfriend is dining out on your data
AI chatbots have come a long way since the 2013 Spike Jonze film "Her". As well as texting your artificial boyfriend or girlfriend, you can now customise them to look and behave as you desire, and even trade photos and voice call.
Demand for these chatbots is voracious, with many lonely people seeing them as a solution to social isolation.
But new research by the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation looked at 11 different AI chatbots, and found all of them lacking in privacy controls.
