Why Manchester United game vs Leicester City isn't on TV as Sky Sports selections explained

Manchester United are back in Premier League action this weekend for what will be Ruud van Nistelrooy's final match as interim manager - before Ruben Amorim takes over.

The fixture sees United host Leicester City in what's a repeat of the Dutchman's first game in interim charge just over a week ago. United came out as 5-2 winners in the Carabao Cup on that occasion.

It's a result they will be looking to repeat again when the Foxes, once again, visit Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. The fixture date change means that both teams can watch on as other Premier League teams are in action earlier in the weekend.

However, fans in the UK will not be able to watch the game at Old Trafford on TV. Here's the reason why;

The game against Leicester is not on TV simply because it has not been selected. It was originally due to be played on Saturday at 3pm, but was moved due to United being in European action during the week.

United took on Paok at Old Trafford on Thursday night in the Europa League. The match against has therefore been moved to 2pm kick-off on Sunday, November 10 to give Van Nistelrooy's men an extra day of recovery.

Despite the change, that game will still not be shown live on TV. Sky Sports are only able to broadcast two fixtures each Sunday, with the selections explained below.

Nottingham Forest's home game with Newcastle United which kicks-off at 2pm on Sunday will instead be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. That game will be followed by Chelsea vs Arsenal which kicks-off at 4.30pm.
