‘Why do people think this is okay?’: Manchester cake shop sprayed with graffiti as owners share upset

The shutters of a cake shop in the city centre was daubed with graffiti earlier this week with the owners saying it has cost them ‘good money’ to fix.

Loaf MCR, on Oxford Street, posted on social media on Monday morning (December 4) to say that their shutters had been graffitied. The act of vandalism also ended up causing damage to a window mural painted by Lobster House Studios.

The cake shop is currently handing out Willy Wonka-style golden tickets to customers offering a handful of prizes, like Jason Manford tickets and hotel stays. The window mural paid homage to this campaign depicting drawings of candy and sweets.
