Why Birmingham City made four subs in Nottingham Forest defeat
Birmingham City boss Lee Bowyer was able to make four substitutions in the 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Aston Villa man Keinan Davies opened the scorer inside five minutes, before Scott McKenna sealed the result with 10 minutes from time. Forest's fifth consecutive win sees them jump into third place in the Championship table.
Blues keeper Neil Etheridge, who suffered a head injury in the 70th minute, was replaced by Connal Trueman. Given it was a concussion injury, Bowyer was allowed to make an extra change to his team, on top of the three subs usually permitted.
Following the defeat, Birmingham remain 18th in the league with five games left until the end of the season. Meanwhile Steve Cooper's Forest sit just six points behind Bournemouth in second.
Blues will next face Midlands neighbours, Coventry City on Friday (April 15).
