Who Man City can face in Champions League quarter-final as line-up confirmed

The UEFA Champions League last-16 came to an end last night and the final eight of the competition was confirmed. Europe's prestigious competition now enters the 'business-end' with the best teams possibly facing each other.

Manchester City continued their hopes of retaining their status as European champions in the previous round with a 6-2 aggregate win over Danish side FC Copenhagen.

Pep Guardiola's men remain on course to replicate last season's historic treble. Their FA Cup journey continues at the weekend against Newcastle United and the Premier League title race is boiling up as one of the most thrilling witnessed in recent years.

Eight teams now remain in the Champions League and City will be hoping to avoid one of the big-hitters in the quarter-final. Following Wednesday night's final two ties, the line-up is set for Friday's draw.

Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid all secured their spot in the last eight in the same week as City. Either of the three would provide a tasty European tie next month.

Barcelona defeated Napoli on Tuesday to progress whilst Premier League rivals Arsenal needed a penalty shoot-out win to beat FC Porto. Atletico Madrid became the third Spanish team in the quarter-final after a shoot-out win over Inter Milan while Borussia Dortmund knocked out PSV Eindhoven.

The draw for the quarter-final, as well as the semi-final and final, takes place in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.
