Who is in The Dropout cast on Disney+ alongside Amanda Seyfried

She was a university dropout who went on to become one of Silicon Valley’s wealthiest and most notorious CEOs.

Elizabeth Holmes was the founder of blood test company Theranos and became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. She claimed her business had invented technology that would revolutionise the world of disease diagnosis.

But the firm could not keep up with her claims and the whole thing came crashing down around her. She was eventually convicted of fraud and faces up to 20 years behind bars when she is sentenced in September.

Now her story is being told in new eight-part miniseries The Dropout - made for streaming services Disney+ and Hulu, with the first three episodes released today (Thursday, March 3). Mamma Mia! star Amanda Seyfried plays the role of Elizabeth Holmes and the rest of the cast is pretty impressive too.

Seyfried stars in the main role as Theranos boss Elizabeth Holmes. The 36-year-old American actress came to prominence following her feature film debut in the teen comedy Mean Girls and her recurring role as Lily Kane on TV series Veronica Mars.

She went on to appear in a number of successful films - attracting critical acclaim for playing actress Marion Davies in the biographical film Mank, for which she earned an Oscar nomination. She also won praise for her portrayal of Cosette in the musical film Les Miserables.

Sunny Balwani was Holmes’ business partner and chief operating officer, as well as being her boyfriend. He is played by British actor Naveen Andrews, who is perhaps best known for his role as Sayid Jarrah in popular TV series Lost, which won
