Where will Queen Elizabeth II be buried?
It was announced this weekend that the Queen's state funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday, September 19.
While her funeral will take place in the royal church, the late monarch will in fact be buried elsewhere, according to Buckingham Palace. Her Majesty will instead be buried next to her late husband Prince Philip at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
The chapel is named after the Queen's father, who died in 1952 at the age of 56. The chapel was built in 1969 with King George VI being moved there later that year. Other notable royals buried there include Queen Elizabeth, the Queen mother, who died in 2002 at the age of 101.

Princess Margaret, who also died in 2002, had her ashes brought to the chapel following the Queen Mother's death, allowing her to be placed next to her mother and father.
The Queen's funeral will be the finale of a series of commemorative events taking place in the coming days to honour the sovereign's long life. Today, her coffin will travel from Balmoral, where she died, and take a six-hour trip to the Palace of Holyroodhouse where it will stay overnight.
