Where Manchester United stand on further transfers in final week of summer window

Manchester United want to add at least two more players to their first-team squad in the final week of the summer transfer window.

Erik ten Hag has already been backed with four new additions this summer, adding Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro to his squad.

United have spent just shy of £129.6m on new signings this summer, meaning they could break their record expenditure for a single transfer window if they do add to their squad in the final seven days.

Ten Hag is prioritising the addition of a new forward to his side, with the club set to launch a fresh bid for Ajax ace Antony, while the club are also stepping up their pursuit of a new back-up goalkeeper before deadline day.

United also have an interest in signing a new right-back and another central midfielder if possible, but are prepared to end the window without strengthening those positions if they can't be addressed.
