Where Manchester United stand in the transfer window as they close in on two signings

Manchester United's players have completed their first week of pre-season training under new manager Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman, who was installed as United's new manager back in April, took training for the first time on Monday at Carrington, before leading his side's preparations for the forthcoming campaign throughout the week. Despite their slow start to proceedings, the club is moving in the right direction on the recruitment front, edging closer and closer towards wrapping up the signings of Feyenoord defender Tyrell Malacia and Barcelona ace Frenkie de Jong.

On Friday, MEN Sport's chief United writer, Samuel Luckhurst, hosted a Q&A in an attempt to try and answer as many questions as possible that United's fans had for him, ranging from the latest on De Jong to United's interest in Christian Eriksen.
