When will SPFL post split fixtures be revealed? Clubs face nervous wait ahead of blockbuster finale

Scottish football fans will be made to wait to find out the remainder of the Premiership fixtures for the campaign as the league split was rubber stamped.

Despite a lacklustre 2-0 defeat to Kilmarnock in Paisley, St Mirren narrowly secured a historic place in the top half of the table after Livingston's failure to beat Jim Goodwin's resurgent Dundee United that left Stephen Robinson's men in the top half of the table. It's the first time in almost 40 years that St Mirren have earned a top six finish, and they will be joined by Hibs who also have work to do.

Lee Johnson's men earned a top six spot after drawing with St Johnstone and will now hope to kick on and claim a European spot this term. Supporter of top flight will now look to the fixture list as they map out their journey to success this term.

For some that will be avoiding relegation, with Livingston and Motherwell looking over their shoulder at the battle at the bottom between St Johnstone, Dundee United, Kilmarnock and Ross County. Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Hearts round out the top six.

It's understood that clubs will have to wait until Monday to find out the fixtures for the remainder of the campaign. However, the dates have already been revealed for the run-in.

The final five rounds will take place on:

Rd 34 - Weekend of May 6/7

Rd 35 - Weekend of May 13/14

Rd 36 - Weekend of May 20/21

Rd 37 - Midweek of May 23/24

Rd 38 - Weekend of May 27/28
