When will Lionel Messi make his debut for David Beckham's Inter Miami?

Manchester United legend David Beckham managed to pull off the move which he dreamt of this week when Barcelona legend Lionel Messi was revealed as an Inter Miami.

Supporters of the Argentine World Cup winner and the Herons braved the harsh weather conditions at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale to welcome the 36-year-old to the MLS. The ceremony concluded a long transfer saga after the forward announced he would be leaving PSG following the expiration of his contract.

However last month, Messi announced that while he had been in negotiations regarding a return to Barca he had chosen to move to Miami after seeing the financial strain a transfer back to La Liga would have on the club. Despite his megastar status, the winger has already made a good impression on his new teammates.

Former Sunderland star DeAndre Yedlin explained: "Actually for the little event that he had, well, I say little event, the big event that he had on Sunday, [Leonardo] Campana was looking for tickets and he put [it] in the group chat. I didn't even know that Leo was in or Messi was in the group chat yet but he popped up straight away and said: 'How many do you need?' Straightaway like that.

"So just from there I was like: 'Wow.' Straight off the bat. They've known each other for maybe, I don't know two days, three days or something. But just to show that generosity, that is a great first example of how he is."

Of course, the next question surrounds when Messi will make his first appearance for the Eastern Conference's basement side. MEN
