When Marcel Sabitzer did a madness and scored of the most aesthetically pleasing goals ever

Marcel Sabitzer is one of the best technicians playing in the Bundesliga right now.

The Austrian midfielder possesses incredible ability that he showcases week in, week out.

Sabitzer rose to prominence during a highly successful season spell with Red Bull Leipzig.

He played 229 times for the Bundesliga outfit, scoring 52 goals. Many of the goals he scored were absolute screamers.

And the best goal of the lot came against Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League in 2019.

On October 23, 2019, Leipzig welcomed Zenit to RB Arena for their Group G clash.

Zenit took an early lead but Leipzig turned the game on its head just after half-time.

Konrad Laimer restored parity just after half-time, before Sabitzer scored one of the most aesthetically pleasing goals ever in the 59th minute.

Sabitzer chested the ball down inside the box and then produced the most perfect half-volley you’ll ever see.

The ball started well outside the box but curved perfectly right into the top corner. The goal has gone viral again and you can relive it below…

Nearly three years on and the goal still blows our minds. It was just perfection.

Many football fans have been reacting to the goal and you can view some reaction below…

Now 28, Sabitzer left Leipzig last summer as he signed for Bayern Munich in a €16 million move.

Sabitzer’s time at the club has not gone exactly to plan as he has found game time hard to come by.

He managed to score his first goal for the club in a 4-1 victory over Freiburg on Saturday.
