When is the next episode of Marvel Secret Invasion on Disney+?

Marvel's latest mini-series, Secret Invasion, has launched on Disney+, with the return of Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill.

The first of six episodes debuted on the platform last week on Wednesday, June 21. Set in the present day Marvel Cinematic Universe, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth.

Behind it is a group of shapeshifting aliens known as Skrulls - who first appeared in the 2019 Captain Marvel film. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who has made a life for himself on Earth.

Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.

Ali Selim directs the series and executive-produces, while Kyle Bradstreet is head writer, and Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams and Brant Englestein serve as co-executive producers.

Director Ali Selim has already hinted at a possibility of season two - despite one character's doomed ending. Meanwhile the show's trailer suggests this could be Fury's final fight.

Ali previously told SFX Magazine: "When it ends, I hope you feel satiated and complete. And as Marvel does so excellently, you also feel like, 'Oh, it could go in this direction.' Nick Fury is alive and continues to battle, I don’t think that’s a spoiler alert.

"And there are some characters that are no longer with us and some characters that live to see another challenge. I would love to see that challenge become season 2."
