When is the Euro 2024 qualifying draw? Scotland set to discover their route to Germany as Steve Clarke's men go into the hat

The World Cup might be around the corner but first attention turns to the Euro 2024 qualification draw.

A total of 54 teams will enter the draw however only 24 can qualify. Germany qualified for the tournament automatically by hosting the tournament. While the 23 remaining spots will be determined by through the qualification process; 20 spots will be decided by the winners and runners-up of the 10 qualifying groups with the remaining three spots decided by play-offs.

The draw takes place in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday, October 9 at 11am UK time.

Teams will be seeded based on the 2022–23 UEFA Nations League overall ranking. There will be six groups of five and four groups of six.

The four participants of the 2023 UEFA Nations League Finals will be drawn into groups of five teams so that they only have to play eight qualifying matches, leaving two free matchdays to play in Nations League Finals in June 2023.

The qualifying group stage will take place from March to November 2023, while the three play-offs will be held in March 2024.
