When is the Drive to Survive season 4 release date and what we know from the Netflix trailer

F1's Drive to Survive returns with a bang this week, as the explosive 2021 championship is documented in the Netflix show.

The behind the scenes documentary follows racing drivers, the teams and the cars, providing an insight into what happens away from the cameras. Season 4 will be particularly dramatic, as it will tell the story of Max Verstappen's narrow victory over Lewis Hamilton in the 2021 season.

The documentary will include Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, George Russell and more. But best of all, Netflix will allow fans to see what happened behind closed doors when the very last seconds of the season ended in appeals, outrage and joy.

Drive to Survive has been credited with bringing new fans to F1. With fans excited for the 2022 championship to commence, the latest series will be a reminder of just how intense the rivalry between Verstappen and Hamilton is.

The ten-part series will be released on Netflix on Friday, March 11. The championship itself will begin in Bahrain, on March 20, leaving a nine-day gap to binge-watch the series if you want to.

You can watch the trailer for Drive to Survive season 4 at the top of this article. In the teaser, we see the cars racing and team bosses saying emphatic statements about their driver's abilities.

Tears, anger and smiles can be seen - hinting at just how emotional the dramatic 2021 season was for all involved. Fans will be desperate to relive it.

The two-minute trailer also makes it clear just how dangerous and fast F1 racing is. Tensions were clearly running high last year. But the only way to see the full story, with never before seen footage, is to watch the full new series of Drive to Survive.
