When is the Championship play-off final? Kick-off time, how to watch and latest odds

The Premier League season may be over, but there is still plenty of football drama to be had this weekend, with both the Champions League and the Championship play-off finals taking place.

Last night’s UCL final saw Liverpool lose to Real Madrid 1-0 in an agonising defeat in Paris.

But now, footy fans’ attention has quickly turned to Wembley on Sunday afternoon, as Huddersfield and Nottingham Forest battle it out for promotion.

Fulham and Bournemouth have already confirmed their spots in the top flight by finishing in first and second respectively over the last season, with one last spot up for grabs in the Premier League 2022/23 season

Huddersfield – who were last in the Premier League in 2019 – booked a place in the final after beating Luton Town 2-1 on aggregate, while Nottingham Forest beat Sheffield United in a penalty shootout after the teams were all square after extra time in a tense semi-final.

The wait for a return to the top-flight football has been even longer for Nottingham Forest, who last played in the competition in the 1998/99 season.

There is a lot on the line for both teams but just when does the action kick off, and how can fans watch the game on TV in the UK?

The final is set to take place today – Sunday, May 29 – at Wembley Stadium.

The game will kick off at 4.30pm.
