When is Super Bowl 56? Chiefs, Bengals, 49ers, Rams, start time, date, UK TV coverage

Super Bowl LVI, the 56th Super Bowl and 52nd of the modern NFL era, is now just a few weeks away.

This weekend, four teams fight it out on "Championship Sunday" looking to earn their place in the game.

One of those teams, the Los Angeles Rams, could have something of a "home advantage" with this year's Super Bowl set to take place at their SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

First, however, they have to overcome the San Francisco 49ers - a team they're currently on a six-game losing streak against.

The Rams against the 49ers in the NFC Conference Championship final will be the second of two games broadcast live on both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports NFL.

It follows on from the AFC Championship final which will be contested by the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Super Bowl LVI takes place on Sunday, February 13.

This will be the first time that the Super Bowl is played on the second week of February rather than the first. This is the result of the regular season scheduled being expanded from 16 to 17 games.

The game will take place in Inglewood, California who are eight hours ahead of the UK. This results in a UK start time of 11.30pm.

The Super Bowl will be broadcast live on BBC One.

Fans can also watch the game on either Sky Sports NFL or Sky Sports Main Event.

With the game being shown on BBC One, this means it will also be available to stream live on BBC iPlayer.

Sky Sports customers can also access the aforementioned channels using the Sky Go app.
