When is Europa League last 16 draw? Date, live stream and who Manchester United could play

Manchester United have never failed to reach the Europa League round of 16 when participating in the competition and will hope to continue that record by coming out on top against Barcelona.

After coming from one goal down to lead 2-1 before eventually being pegged back after an equaliser from former Leeds United player Raphinha, United welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford with the tie finely poised. Both clubs enjoyed comfortable domestic victories over the weekend in between these two legs to set themselves up ideally for this winner-takes-all match.

One of these European heavyweights won't be joining the likes of Arsenal or Ajax in the round of 16 draw, but who might? And when will we find out for definite? The Manchester Evening Newshave sought to explain all below...

When is the round of 16 draw?

The draw is due to take place on Friday, 24 February, with it scheduled to start at noon CET (11am GMT; 6am ET), less than 24 hours after the second leg at Old Trafford and the other seven knockout round play-offs are set to have been decided. The Europa Conference League last 16 draw will follow the Europa League ceremony from 1pm CET (noon GMT; 7am ET) at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland, on the shore of Lake Geneva.

Where can I watch live?

UEFA are live streaming it on their website, here. BT Sport are also broadcasting the ceremony live on BT Sport 1 between 11am and 11:30am in the United Kingdom.

Who is already in the draw?

Half of the 16 teams involved have already qualified as the eight group winners back in autumn. They are Arsenal, Fenerbahçe, Ferencváros, Feyenoord, Freiburg, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Union
