When do the Winter Olympics end and what events are left?

The Winter Olympics is nearing its end with events wowing sports fans across the world with the impressive performances and talent on show.

The games were hosted in Beijing, China this year, making the city the first to ever host both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

So far this year, viewers have seen figure skating, skiing and snowboarding take centre stage.

Currently Norway is topping the medal board with the most amount of golds and medals combined.

The history of the Winter Olympics dates back to 1924, when they were first hosted in France.

The Winter Olympics end on February 20, after a full 16 days of pure sportsmanship.

The games started on February 4 with the opening ceremony taking place in the host city.

In the remaining four days, the events scheduled to take place in the Winter Olympics now are cross country skiing, ice hockey and curling.

The short track speed skating women and men's final is on February 16 at 8:45pm (Chinese time).

February 17 will then see the women's big ski cross final and the ice hockey gold medal game.

February 18 will see the men's big ski cross final and men's speed skating final, followed by the men's gold medal in curling and the woman's mass start skating final on February 19.

The final day of the Games will see the women's curling final and men's ice hockey final.
