When could Cheltenham Town vs Bolton Wanderers take place after EFL postponement

Bolton Wanderers' trip to Cheltenham Town will have to be rearranged following the cancellation of all EFL fixtures this weekend in light of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Ian Evatt's men were making the short trip to Wigan Athletic, but the Whites' next game will now be on Tuesday night as they make the journey to take on MK Dons. Both the EFL and the Premier League made the decision to postpone all of this weekend's football out of respect to Her Majesty - the longest reigning British monarch in history.

Football takes a back seat and there is some doubt over next weekend's schedule too due to the potential dateof the Queen's funeral, but no official announcement has been made yet. Wanderers and the Robins will have to find a new date for the clash which had been due to be played this afternoon.

As things stand, Bolton and Cheltenham have a free midweek slot at the end of this month on Tuesday, September 27 . However, this is during the international break and given there is some doubt over the game vs Portsmouth on Saturday, September 24, going ahead due to call-ups, this might not be realistic.

Wanderers have a busy October with seven games. The potential of it becoming eight could land with a space on Tuesday, October 4, free for both sides as things stand.

November is currently a quiet month for both teams with only two League One matches scheduled for both so far. A game around the first weekend of the month will be scheduled due to the FA Cup first round.
