What time is the Spring Budget announcement on Wednesday?

The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will deliver his Spring Budget on Wednesday, March 6.

He will lay out the government's latest plans to 'boost' the British economy which could include some major changes to taxes and other economic policies. Meanwhile, the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) will publish its revised forecast for the British economy and public finances.

The Chancellor's previous Spring Budget was set to undo the 'mini-budget' laid out by Liz Truss' government which had a catastrophic effect on the economy. Now, the Chancellor will be making announcements in the backdrop of a looming general election where he will likely be wanting to impress potential voters.

The Chancellor is set to deliver the Spring Budget in the House of Commons at 12.30pm on Wednesday, March 6. While it's not yet clear how long the announcement itself will take, the previous Spring Budget lasted roughly an hour.

Extra time is also given for the opposition to reply to any policies announced in the Spring Budget once it is over.

It is not yet fully clear what will be announced in tomorrow's Spring Budget, but policies surrounding income tax, inheritance tax, and the upcoming vaping ban are expected.
