What time is Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez fight? UK ring walks, TV channel and odds

Josh Taylor returns to the ring to defend his WBO super-lightweight title against former undisputed lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez this weekend.

This is the Scot’s first time back in action since his controversial win over Jack Catterall in February 2022. The 32-year-old unified the division in May 2021 with a world-class performance against Jose Ramirez and is preparing for his first fight back after 15 months away.

Lopez became a unified lightweight champion, back in 2020, with a statement performance over Vasyl Lomachenko before losing the belts to George Kambosos Jr and has struggled to hit those same heights, despite being on a two-fight win streak. It means that both men arguably have a point to prove ahead of their much-anticipated world title clash in New York.
