The singer-songwriter Declan McKenna will undoubtedly be drawing in crowds of loyal fans at this year's Glastonbury music festival. The indie pop-star will be gracing the Woodsies stage on Friday.

Declan’s cult following exploded after the pandemic thanks to his mega hit ‘Brazil’ hitting a billion streams online. The breakthrough single tackled corruption in Fifa and gave Declan, who rips his lyrics from headlines, a reputation for turning political turmoil into tunes set for dancefloors.

The 25 year-old’s later songs touched on transgender suicide and religious hypocrisy and his second album, Zeros, imagined escaping the Earth after a climate catastrophe.

Declan’s third album What Happened To The Beach, released earlier this year, veers away from weighty themes and the singer is going to be supporting Sabrina Carpenter on her upcoming US headline tour

So when does Declan, who has been previously given "voice of a generation" tag, appear at Glastonbury this weekend? And who will be playing at the same time? Here's all you need to know.

Declan Mckenna will take to the Woodsies stage on Friday night. The Woodsies stage in the North West corner of the site is this year offering an energising line-up spanning indie rock and pop, Irish rap, punk, metal to chart music

Declan will perform for an hour and will be on stage from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. He will take to the stage after Arlo Parks.

The all-female rock band Voice of Baceprot will be kicking off performances on the stage on Friday morning and James Blake will be closing the stage on Sunday night, following other headline sets from Gossip and Jamie xx.
