What places in Manchester have changed the most?

Manchester is an ever changing place, with various areas across the city going through big transformations over the years.

Everything from jobs, new transport networks and housing developments has shaped the Capital of the North in recent decades, with some areas going from undesirable to highly sought after.

So we want to hear from Mancunian residents past and present about what areas they think have changed the most.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Earlier this week, we looked at Manchester's most 'Instagrammable' estate in the trendy area of Ancoats, which was originally the first set of council houses built in the city with indoor plumbing.

One former resident of Anita Street got in touch in our comments section saying: "I lived in Anita St for a short time with a great Aunt in 1953."

"There was no heat in the bedroom and the place was very dark inside. Amazing that people find it a very desirable place to live now. How times have changed but for the better for some."

Another person also shared their memories, saying: "It was originally called Sanitary Street but was shortened after the residents complained. My dad was born in one of these houses."
