What Mauricio Pochettino said when asked about Chelsea transfer interest in Man City's Cole Palmer
Mauricio Pochettino refused to offer an opinion on Chelsea's transfer move for Manchester City winger Cole Palmer.
Chelsea are expected to sign Palmer for £45m after registering an interest this week, and have until Friday's 11pm deadline to complete a deal. Palmer would complete another high-spending transfer window for Chelsea and would be the second winger to leave City for Stamford Bridge in as many years, after Raheem Sterling's £45m transfer last summer.
After Chelsea edged past League Two side AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, Pochettino was asked twice about his side's interest in Palmer, but remained tight-lipped on the transfer both times.
"I know nothing," Pochettino said when asked about Palmer's potential arrival.

Regarding a medical, Pochettino doubled down on his stance, saying: "Who is saying that? Reports? The club still didn't tell you. I don't want to talk about it."
And when asked about any further signings after Palmer, the manager replied: "Maybe yes, maybe no, Maybe you know better than me what is going on."
After scoring for City in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup, Palmer had said that he wanted to be playing regularly this season and that he was open to leaving.
"Obviously the best scenario is to stay at City and play but obviously you know what the competition is like - if they bring someone in… I don’t know," he said
"I just want to play regularly, like, lots of minutes and stuff so we will see. I just want to play football. So whatever the best decision is when we speak together, that is what I will do."
