Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund was clearly furious after being substituted during his side's Premier League clash with Fulham.

Hojlund has not scored in the Premier League since his arrival from Atalanta in the summer but has often been the Reds' biggest centre forward threat this season. Erik ten Hag entrusted the 20-year-old to lead the line again for United at Craven Cottage.

His performance left a lot to be desired with Hojlund rarely threatening the Fulham defence. Eventually, the decision was made by Ten Hag to replace the striker with Anthony Martial for the final 10 minutes.

In recent weeks this substitution has become a common tactic for Ten Hag and has been greeted by jeers from the Reds fans. But there was a notable lack of disagreement when the Dane was brought off from the fans on Saturday.

One person who was unhappy was Hojlund, who was visibly frustrated as he took his place on the bench next to his United teammates. The young striker is still waiting to open his league account for the club having only found the back of the net in the Champions League since his move to Old Trafford.

For United it was a largely lacklustre display across the board but the Reds won the match in stoppage time thanks to a goal from Bruno Fernandes. The attacking midfielder did well to go past two defenders before beating Bernd Leno at his near post to seal a big three points for his team.
