Manchester United are reportedly setting their sights on free agent Adrien Rabiot - four years after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted for a trio of more high-profile targets.
Reports suggest Rabiot turned down a host of offers from clubs such as Galatasaray and those in the Saudi Pro League during the international break, keeping his dream of signing with a top European club alive following his summer exit from Juventus.
A deal was nearly sealed for the midfielder during Erik ten Hag's first transfer window in 2022, but Rabiot decided against it. Two years earlier, a potential move for the midfielder was also considered, but Solskjaer chose to pursue other options.

Jadon Sancho, who eventually joined the Red Devils in 2021 for £73million, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham were all prioritised as targets over the French player. If all three deals had been successful, Solskjaer might have guided United in a different direction than how things ultimately turned out for the Norwegian.
Fast forward to today, and according to the Daily Star, United will soon hold discussions with Rabiot as they aim to finally secure a player who has been consistently linked with a move to Old Trafford. Rabiot first came onto United's radar during Solsjkaer's tenure, with rumours suggesting that contracts were being offered to him as early as 2019.
