Guardiola made several bold decisions, agreeing to sell important players from the squad who had contributed to title wins. Most of those decisions have been justified on the basis of how those players have fared away from the Etihad Stadium.

Raheem Sterling

City's decision to cash in on the England international has been vindicated so far. Sterling has struggled in a difficult season for Chelsea.

The winger has suffered with injuries and when he has featured, his form has been inconsistent. Sterling has played just 25 matches in the Premier League, scoring four times.

Gabriel Jesus

The Brazilian forward has made the most of his move to North London and has proven an astute signing for Arsenal. The number nine has netted 10 times in 23 Premier League appearances having missed a chunk of the season with a knee injury he sustained in the World Cup.
