What channel is Rangers vs Sunderland? Live stream, TV and kick-off details for pre season friendly

It's set to be a big season for Rangers and kick off their tour of Portugal with a clash with English Championship new boys Sunderland.

Gio van Bronckhorst will be keen to get a look at his side against a decent calibre of opposition while the players will be out to prove they've looked after themselves in the close-season. The likes of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey are still resting up after international duty, but the bulk of the first-team is on the plane and hoping to pick up some minutes.

It's all been a little quiet on the signings front although Van Bronckhorst has a more settled squad than he might have expected a few months ago. New man John Souttar could get his first taste of official action while youngster Alex Lowry will be keen to impress and carve out a major role for himself in the top team this season.

It might also give Van Bronckhorst the chance to get a close up look at Ross Stewart, who is on the transfer agenda should a deal for Antonio Colak fail to come off. Also in action is likely to be former Celtic winger Patrick Roberts, who penned a new deal with Alex Neil's side last month.

Gers fans will be keen to get a glimpse of their side in action in the Portuguese sunshine and here is everything you need to know.

The game is taking place at the Estádio Municipal in Albufeira, Portugal, on Saturday July 9.

Kick-off is at 8pm UK time.

Premier Sports have picked this one up for coverage. It will be shown on Premier Sports 1.

The programme starts at 7.55pm, around five minutes before kick-off.

Premier Sports subscribers can stream the game to their device via the Premier Player app.

Alternatively, both clubs are offering subscription options that can be purchased from their respective websites.
