What Arne Slot said about Matheus Cunha speaks volumes amid Manchester United transfer links

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has heaped praise on in-demand Wolves forward Matheus Cunha as he continues to be linked with a host of Premier League clubs - including Manchester United.

Brazil international Cunha has been one of the Premier League's most impressive performers this season, scoring 11 goals and laying on a further four assists, despite his side's struggles at the bottom of the table.

Despite Cunha being linked with a move away from Wolves, the club's sporting director, Matt Hobbs, recently said the forward loves the club - hinting that his medium-to-long-term future could be at Molineux.

"The new contract is a reward for what Matheus has done - and symbolises his importance to us on the pitch," said Hobbs when Cunha penned fresh terms.

"Matheus loves the club, loves the fans and really appreciates the opportunity
