Ange Postecoglou has wasted no time in getting to work at Tottenham with a crystal clear message to both of his new signings.

And it's believed clear the air talks with Harry Kane are next on the boss' list as he kicks off a new era in north London. When Postecoglou took over at Celtic 24 months ago, he went viral on social media with a training ground clip where he demanded his players meet his relentless standards 24/7. It's where his we never stop mantra was born as the players were left in no doubt from minute one what the expectations were.

That led to five trophies out of six and he exited stage left last month allowing Brendan Rodgers to take over a team in a far stronger position to the one he inherited. But he hasn't given himself a rest as it seems he's been installing those same demands right from the off at Tottenham.

He's already made two signings in James Maddison and new shotstopper Guglielmo Vicario and both players have waxed lyrical about their early chats with the boss. And while there was initially some skepticism around Postecoglou's arrival - just as there was when he arrived at Celtic - that clarity and transparency has slowly begun to create a buzz around the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Alasdair Gold, Spurs correspondent at our colleagues football.london, said on the Gold and Guest talk Tottenham podcast: "What I really like is that Postecoglou's message to both players who have come in has been very clear. He's explained exactly what he wants and what he's going to bring to Spurs. Both of the interviews are good; you can see it's not just about their ability. They are both very clear types of players."

Maddison could have joined Newcastle and played in the Champions League next season but chose
