'What an honour': Ant McPartlin pays visit to Manchester bakery as Britain's Got Talent auditions get underway

A Manchester bakery has been left starstruck after TV legend Ant McPartlin popped over to buy some of its signature sausage rolls.

Braving the snow, the TV star could not resist trying out the Flat Baker in Ancoats after ‘hearing great things’ about the Brazilian-inspired bakery.

The TV personality headed over to the popular hatch-style bakery on Radium Street in between filming for Britain's Got Talent at the Lowry, which he is hosting alongside his presenting partner Declan Donnelly. Auditions for the talent show got underway at the theatre building in Salford Quays this week.

“Thanks for your visit. Honestly, we are very grateful for all of our customers who help us day by day to make our bakery dream come true.”

Ant McPartlin is not the first celebrity to pay a visit to The Flat Baker. Last year, Manchester City star Matheus Nunes, who worked in a bakery whilst undergoing football training, was taken back to his roots and
