Wexford rally against wasteful Galway to snatch draw
Wexford reeled off the last three points of the game, including a Lee Chin free in the eight minute of injury time, to snatch a draw against a wasteful Galway in the opening game of the Leinster SHC at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Brian Concannon's fifth minute goal set the Tribesmen up nicely, but despite dominating possession in wet and windy conditions, manager Henry Shefflin will feel their lead at the interval could have been greater than six points, 1-11 to 0-08.
The Yellowbellies improved after the break and Conor McDonald's 63rd-minute goal breathed life back into the contest and from there the momentum was with the hosts who battled well to ensure a share of the spoils.
