Western Province won 23-17 after leading at 20-10 half-time.

The struggling Western Province got back to winning ways as they scored three tries through Godlen Masimla, Neethling Fouche and Sergeal Petersen.

However, it was the boot of Tim Swiel that proved the difference as he slotted a conversion and two penalties.

Meanwhile, the home side replied with three tries too by Eduan Swart, Corne Fourie and Chriswill September.

Flyhalf Eddie Fouche scored a sole conversion as they broke their three-match winning streak.

With two minutes left on the clock, a section of the floodlights went off with the referee waiting for them to turn on before play continued and full-time was called.
