Blitzboks star Angelo Davids returns to WP for Currie Cup clash in Stellies

Angelo Davids returns to the Western Province team for their upcoming Currie Cup clash against the Griquas at Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch on Friday.

Western Province have made five changes as they look to make the most of their final two Currie Cup encounters.

Blitzboks star Davids is back from duty from the London Sevens and on the wing for the game against the Kimberley-franchise.

The only other change to the backline sees Thomas Bursey start at scrumhalf, forming a new halfback pairing with captain Tim Swiel.

There is an all-new lock pairing of Simon Miller and Ben-Jason Dixon, while Keke Morabe starts at the back of the scrum, with Junior Pokomela on the flank.

Western Province coach Jerome Paarwater said that his team are looking to give their all despite WP sitting sixth on the Currie Cup log on 13 points.

"It is fantastic for us to be playing out here at the Danie Craven Stadium for what should be an entertaining game," said Paarwater.

"Our players are determined to make the most of every minute out there and show what playing in this jersey means to them."
