West Lothian athlete strikes gold in Falkirk and atones for 2024 podium miss
West Lothian athlete Logan Beagley is celebrating after winning gold at the Lindsays National Cross Country Championships and atoning for missing out on the podium in last year’s event.
Logan, who competes for Central Athletic Club, came out on top in the men’s race in Falkirk, winning one of the tighter races of the day, as Harris Pagett of Strathearn Harriers took silver and Andrew McWilliams of Lasswade won the bronze.
And Logan said: “I was fourth in this race last year and gutted at the time to miss the podium.
‘So to come back and win in a strong field is great.
“There were a few of us running together for a spell but I was ahead into the final stages and loved running into the tape.”
The event had an inclusive approach and covered 10 races for age groups from U13 right through to the Senior Men and a Non Binary race.
