West Ham's point against Leicester City gave the Hammers the slightest of leads in the race for next season's Champions League with the Hammers currently in fourth place.

David Moyes' team have 13 Premier League games remaining this season and are currently sitting on 41 points from 25 matches. Moyes has challenged his players to beat last season's tally of 65 points with the manager targeting 67 as this was what the 2020-21 fourth-placed side Chelsea achieved.

Currently, the Hammers are averaging 1.95 points per game and if they continue at this rate they will end the campaign with 66 points and a shot at the Champions League.

West Ham can only control their own results and with all of their top-four rivals having games in hand, ranging from three in Tottenham's case to one for Manchester United, Champions League qualification via the league could be out of the Hammers' hands.

Triumph in the Europa League remains a possibility for West Ham and would bring a spot in next season's elite European competition as a result.
