West Ham: Moyes 'can't risk dropping' £60m duo at London Stadium

West Ham United manager David Moyes does not have the ‘luxury’ of being able to drop out of form players such as Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals at the London Stadium, according to journalist Paul Brown.

It comes after Antonio Conte dropped Heung-Min Son from Tottenham Hotspur’s starting XI after a poor run of form, only for the South Korean to score a hat-trick when coming off the bench against Leicester City.

It has been a disappointing start for the Hammers this season and they head into the international break inside the relegation zone.

With seven matches played, they have just one victory to their name and have found the back of the net on just three occasions.

Bowen is yet to register a goal or an assist in the Premier League this season despite starting every top flight game, while Fornals has found the net just once.

Gareth Southgate once again called Bowen up to his England squad ahead of their upcoming Nations League clashes while Moyes has previously backed him to rediscover his form in time for the winter World Cup.

At the start of September, the Scot said he was starting to ‘see good signs’ from the 25-year-old again after an excellent 2021-22 season.

Brown believes that the West Ham boss lacks the luxuries of Conte when it comes to being able to rotate the £60 million duo when they drop out of form.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t think David Moyes has the luxury of someone like Conte in being able to drop a key player. Yes, it worked with Son and he came back and suddenly was in the goals again.

“But Bowen and Fornals are both really key, important people for West Ham and I think if the likes of [Gianluca] Scamacca or [Maxwel] Cornet were really performing and putting the pressure on, you could take them out
