West Ham fans know Moyes has 'decline' problem at London Stadium

Some West Ham fans feel that their team is on the decline, according to journalist Paul Brown.

The Hammers have made a poor start to the season, though Brown believes David Moyes needs time to embed and develop his new signings.

Not good. West Ham have won just one Premier League game so far in the current campaign, a 1-0 win over Aston Villa.

In total, the east London club have taken just four points from seven matches, which has left them in the relegation zone.

Last season, West Ham were able to finish in seventh, while the campaign prior, they came sixth. However, if Moyes’ men continue to perform the way they have been, then there is no chance of them finishing in the top seven again and qualifying for Europe.

On the subject of Europe, they have at least got off to a good start in the Europa Conference League, winning their first two games against FCSB and Silkeborg.

Brown says some West Ham supporters feel that Moyes’ side are going in the wrong direction and have been for some time now.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “The argument among some in the West Ham fan base is that this has actually been a team possibly in decline for a while. I’ve heard people argue that their record against some of the mid-table or lesser teams in the league has not been great for a while and they’ve noticed a drop off in form overall, even before this season started.

“If you go back into last season, there were times when they struggled a bit, too. I think this is a team David Moyes is trying to develop. I think having added those new players, there’s still a bit of development there to come, and West Ham need to work out what they are and what system they need to use to get this going.”
