West Ham dealt double injury blow as David Moyes names his 23 man squad for Reading FC friendly

West Ham United will be without two of their key players for the friendly game against Reading FC on Saturday afternoon.

The Premier League outfit will be without Czech Republic midfielder Tomáš Souček and experienced centre-back Craig Dawson for the game at the Select Car Leasing Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Hammers boss David Moyes is set to hand a debut to summer signing Nayef Aguerd, though, The Morocco international was signed earlier this summer for a fee in the region of £30m from Rennes.

France goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, who spent the season on loan in east London from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, could make his first appearance since completing a permanent switch from the French capital. Ex Swansea midfielder Flynn Downes is in line for his second outing in a Hammers jersey having played in a game against Ipswich Town earlier in the week.

Some of West Ham's international stars such as Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen, Nikola Vlašić and Vladimír Coufal should all play a part at the SCL Stadium in some capacity.
