West Ham: 'Big worry' for David Moyes at London Stadium

West Ham‘s lack of goals is a major worry for David Moyes, according to journalist Paul Brown.

The Hammers slipped two points from safety after suffering their fifth Premier League defeat of the season at Everton on Sunday.

Following a 15-day break since they were controversially denied a last-gasp draw away at Chelsea, Moyes’ side travelled to Goodison Park hoping to record just their second victory of the season.

West Ham were up against an Everton team that were winless, but they turned in another underwhelming display, which leaves them on four points from a possible 21.

The Londoners were the dominant side, but Tomas Soucek’s header that sailed wide, Said Benrahma’s effort that crashed the post and Maxwel Cornet’s late strike that was saved by Asmir Begovic were the closest they came to adding to their three top-flight goals.

Ultimately, West Ham were sunk by Neal Maupay’s first Everton goal in the second half, which ensured they’ll spent the international break inside the relegation zone.

Brown doesn’t think that Moyes’ side are performing poorly, but he’s concerned about their lack of cutting edge in front of goal, with Jarrod Bowen yet to get off the mark in the league, while Michail Antonio has scored just once.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “At the moment, you can’t see them scoring that many goals, which is the big worry.

“I don’t think they played particularly badly against Everton; it was just a little flat. I think they could easily have won that game if the breaks had gone their way.

“So, there isn’t a huge amount to worry about. But I do think that he needs to start working out where all these players are going to fit into his team.”
