West Ham ‘adamant’ that £150m Rice is ‘not for sale’ with Chelsea ‘yet to make bid’
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is ‘not for sale’ amid interest from London rivals Chelsea, according to reports.
Rice was with Chelsea as a youngster but was released at the age of 14.
When will Manchester United just be accepted as a poorly run club whose great years are behind it?
The Blues are eager to re-sign the England midfielder but are put off by the Hammers’ whopping £150m asking price.
Making it more of a challenge to land the 23-year-old, West Ham are ‘adamant’ that he is not for sale this summer, according to Football London.
The report claims that Chelsea are yet to make a bid this summer.
The east Londoners have offered Rice the chance to extend his contract but he is reluctant to sign on the dotted line.
Speaking about the England midfielder’s future back in April, Irons boss David Moyes said: “The first thing to say is that he is not for sale.
“If you are interested, well, it will be north of that. £100m was cheap last summer. £150m just now would be the minimum but he is not for sale. What I do know is that it means there are only certain clubs that could even consider it.”

In terms of other targets, Chelsea have been linked with Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.
The PA news agency understands that the Blues are edging closer to the signing of Sterling, while they are also interested in Everton’s Richarlison and Leeds United’s Raphinha.
