West Ham: 74-goal star would bring 'something different' to London Stadium

West Ham target Gerard Deulofeu would bring “something different” to the London Stadium, claims Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

The Udinese winger is currently being linked with a move to the east London club amid a brilliant season in Italy.

Italian outlet Calciomercato reported last month that West Ham have a concrete interest in Deulofeu and are ready to bring him back to the Premier League.

The former Watford and Everton star has really impressed at the Dacia Arena this term, scoring over 10 goals in Serie A for Gabriele Cioffi’s men.

It is a significant improvement on his last season with Watford, with Deulofeu only managing to register four Premier League goals.

However, the campaign prior, the 28-year-old managed to find the back of the net 10 times in English football’s top flight, showing the threat he can bring when he is at the top of his game.

Brown, who watched Deulofeu regularly during his Everton days, thinks the Spaniard could bring the X-factor to West Ham.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Daily Star reporter said: “He would give them something different. I’ve not seen him on a regular basis for a long time. I watched him every week when he was at Everton and, at times, he was electric. Other times, he was so frustrating.”

All things considered, Deulofeu could be a great addition to David Moyes’ squad this summer.

The former Barcelona man brings a goal threat, scoring 74 times in his career, can play on both flanks and has Premier League experience.
